A best practices checklist

Goodness, some scary reading for anyone doing email marketing. Vendor EmailLabs drew up a list of best practices for marketing emails, focusing on the formal functional aspects of the email rather than content, writing style, design etc.

They then took a look at a lot of emails to see how marketers shaped up. The results are here.

The bad news: we could all do better.

The good news: the list of best practices is a super checklist to use for a review of your own basic email templates.
