Animation works...at least in design terms

animationA month ago, Chad White invited us to rethink our attitudes to animation in email when he looked at the pros and cons. Maybe you remained skeptical because of worries that animated elements don't display well in today's complicated email world.

It's probably worth revisiting Chad's article again, now that Mark Wyner has tested how various email clients and webmail services treat animated .gifs.

It's all good news (only Outlook 2007 didn't display the animation), and Mark has some general tips on using animation to add to Chad's insights, too.
