Interesting proposition from Karen Talavera in this week's B2BOnline. She suggests an alternative emailing strategy for those with too few resources or content for email newsletters.She explains the reasoning behind setting out various "limited series" of emails on different topics and having people sign-up for these, rather than a never-ending e-newsletter subscription.
It's a well-written explanation which in essence reflects the tried and tested autoresponder model used by many publishers of information products. Your ESP or software likely has an autoresponder facility as part of the package. If not, there are specialist services like AWeber around.
That aside, I'm a strong believer that "not enough content" need never be a valid argument for avoiding email newsletters.
